The aim of the publication is, above all, to show the process of cooperation between enterprises and vocational training institutions from the perspective of entrepreneurs. The report summarises the results of two studies commissioned by the FDES concerning the cooperation of Polish enterprises with the education sector, in particular with vocational training institutions. The main goal of both research projects was to examine how Polish companies cooperate with institutions from the education sector, especially in the area of vocational education and practical training of young people entering the labour market.

The first study was quantitative and aimed to determine the level and forms of cooperation between Polish enterprises and educational institutions. It was initiated by the Foundation for the Development of the Education System and the Kronenberg Foundation at Citi Handlowy bank in October 2018, and was implemented by Kantar Millward Brown. The second study was a qualitative analysis of the joint activities of employers with industry and technical schools. The recommendations and examples of good practices collected in the report can inspire  cooperation and, above all, they show the importance of practical skill training of young people who enter the labour market.
